Of course they were, and the US administration pronounced them biased and untrustworthy, and launched a smear campaign against them. Then someone pulled up a lot of quotes from officials of the same administration quoting the very same AI as a trustworthy and unbiased source of information in previous years... on subjects other than themselves.
