"La Meglio Gioventu" ("The Best of Youth") was not only the best foreign language movie I saw in 2006, it was probably the best movie, period. I am using the word movie loosely there since it was originally released as a miniseries on Italian television.

Based on everything I have read about it I am very much looking forward to "Letters From Iwo Jima", which hasn't opened here yet.
