Chiefs got in by winning 9 games and going 4-2 in their own division.

KC was one of only 2 teams to beat SD. They 'might' have swept SD, had it not been for a blocked punt and subsequent freak fumble. KC beat Jax, and also beat Denver once. I'd say that's pretty good.

All three teams whose losses paved the way for KC were HOME losses [Titans, Bengals, and Denver]. They didn't get the job done, and KC did.

One thing I'm learning about Herm Edwards...his teams earn some level of success, even with adversities. As much as I loved Dick Vermeil, he only seemed to succeed when the stars and planets aligned the right way.

If KC can run the ball well and keep Peyton off the field, I honestly thing they have a real chance...
