>>>According to the news at lunch time today, Saddam Hussein is due to be executed at 4 p.m. EST today. There goes another great humanitarian. (wiping tears from eyes)

>>How come no one clammers for Mugabe to be offed? To me he's one of the most evil men of the last 100 years, up there with Mao and Stalin - the crimes he continues to perpetrate against his own citizens, and the deliberate destruction of his country's economy, reducing his people to peniary.

>Agreed. Saddam was far from the first or last brutal dictator. Too bad we can't be rid of them all without a horrible price.

It all went it what seemed like a week. Didn't go far - just to a youth hostel on the Sussex Downs, with many of my partner's extended family for 4 days over Xmas. Then my mother came visit and was here till yesterday. Apart from that I went to a good solstice party on the 21st. So not bad, but not great.

(We have to reserve annual leave for the Xmas shut down, and I had 2 days to use or lose. That, along with the bank hols gave me a nice long break - but tiring as I never got a good night's sleep, and now my eyes are on my chin strap)

Fat Boy Slim did a big bash on the beach here yesterday (Brighton's his home town) but this time not free like the others, £30 a ticket - and they were all sold out within an hour. They put barriers up so no-one else could see or hear the gig. I was pleased that yesterday was heavy, icy freezing rain - sour grapes! :-)

Thanks

How were your few days?
- Whoever said that women are the weaker sex never tried to wrest the bedclothes off one in the middle of the night
- Worry is the interest you pay, in advance, for a loan that you may never need to take out.
