Well, that indeed might be a difference between the US and other countries. Unless you're a major drug dealer, you'll not be jailed up here. We have a fairly liberal drug policy so beein jailed for growing, possesing or dealing soft-drugs is not that common unless doing it large quantities. This really is a different topic.
For the rest, I don't believe it is much different up here than in the US with a few exceptions:
- The lenght of prisoning, which much longer in the US than up here.
- The three strike, you're out law in CA.
