No Edward you missed a very important point, that being making a mistake is human, so no one can assure 100% that an innocent guy will not be convicted.
what if that innocent was ur son whould you just say bad luck we was innocent but what the heck it wasn't premeditated murder, the judge an jury didn't pemeditate to kill my son so bad luck, that's life.
But there's no point in pursuing this discussion, since I don't mean to change anyone way of thinking, and for certain no one will change mine.

>Wrong. You missed a very important point: premeditated murder. Don't worry: you will not be sentenced to death in a case of honest mistake. However, if you plotted to kill someone, prepared to it and killed then don't grudge if you see me on jury bench.

>>following ur line of thinking then if a innocent person was convicted to the death penalty and only after the penalty was carry out proves where discover that that person was innocent then everyone involve and everyone that convicted that person to death including jury and judge should then be sentence to death also?
>>I would say in you perspective then yes, since they killed a innocent person.
>>

>>>If I consider that law applied properly then I will support it regardless to personalities. Obviously, I ensure through other means that my kids will never commit premeditated murder and accordingly will not get in this situation.
>>>Basically, I believe in individual responsibility; that's the way to get closer to God.
>>>
>>>>What about if tomorrow is your son condemded to death will you keep supporting the death penalty?
>>>>who are you or anyone else to decide who deserves to live or die? God or a superior entity?
>>>>
>>>>>>I would like to see if the person that defends the death penalty would still defende it it the person charged with it was from their family, a son or a close relative.
>>>>>>I always lived by a rule and that was don't do to others what you wouldn't like that others do to you. And with this rule the death penalty doesn't come in, cause I would sure not like that someone would kill me, so in that case how can I say that someone should be kill.
>>>>>
>>>>>That's pretty lame logics. What if tomorrow you will decide that you like to rob banks? Should we change the law to accomodate your or anyone else wishes?
