Sam,
I just got a Microsoft Press book for Christmas - Programming Microsoft Visual Basuc 2005: The Language. I know it is a VB.NET book, but I would recommend finding something similar for C#. I have been using VB.NET off and on for a few years, and I have still learned quite a bit from the book.
I would also recommend maybe a book about the .NET Framework in general. I also got MCTS Exam 70-536 Microsoft Self-Paced Training book, and it has helped a lot too. I would recommend it as I couldn't finish the book because of all of the FRUSTRATING TYPOS!!!!!!!! but if bet you could find a similar book.
The thing that I am finding is that I learned a lot of dirty little habits, and now I am seeing what I am doing that I should have never been doing. I wish I would have started off with some good books instead of figuring out for myself and Googling.
LearnVisualStudio.NET was also great. For 99 bucks for a lifetime membership, you can't go wrong.
If you have any other questions, make sure you post them here. I have received a lot of great help on here as have a lot of other people, and I am sure we are all looking to pay it forward!
