It's a scene straight out of "Blade Runner." The only reason the place ever stayed in business more than a month was its proximity to the perverse overnight newsmen from the Tribune and Sun-Times. And at that it would have been gone 30 years ago if not for the SNL skits. Some things are better imagined than experienced.
