>>Same with cars. I realise that humans need some space. We are a crowding sort of entity, but where will the deer go when we've made sure there is no more such thing as a 'rural' area.

>When there is no such thing as a 'rural' area left, I think that we will have more problems than where are the deer going to live.

>>On the other hand, at least in fishing, you don't normally line them up in your scope and blast them out of the water.

>Have you ever watched Secondhand Lions? Actually, you are baiting them with food and pretty much trapping them. I see more sportsmanship in hunting than in fishing, however, I do also enjoy fishing.

Somehow I see spotting a deer in the distance, sighting on him and shooting him as less of a sport. At least you have to fight the fish to land him. Shooting a deer through the head doesn't seem much like a fight to me. You shoot him, he drops. Big deal.

>>That sounds useful. At least then the death of the animal doesn't only come down to trespassing or 'sport'.

>Deer hunters eat the meat too. If I ever saw a "hunter" shoot a deer, celebrate, and leave him lay, I would tell him what I thought of him.

But not shoot him? Jeez, you're no fun at all.

Now if you want a real sport, try bowling. Ack, ptooey. Just kidding.
