Hi Terry and Rich
>I suppose when kids realise that sticking your fist out in front does not enable you to fly, and that you can't stick at 90 deg. to a vertical wall, or spin around really fast and burrow into the ground, they give up on those emulations :-)
True, guess I might have tried to stick on the wall hurt my nose and forgot to try it again :).
>But re-enacting a hanging - they gotta realise that it ends in death!
Now that you have mentioned it and I thought about it... One thing about death and kids and TV worries me is that death on TV is pretty causal, so I guess that is the reason kids are not aware of it's permanence. They see the actors/cartoon characters dying and appearing the very next day.
My kid asked me when he watched the news with my dad. That is what got me worried and started me to think, till I could not contain myself and posted here.
