I am using the _crypt.vcx class for password encryption and I store the password to a field in a table.

This works great, however, I do notice that once a password has been encrypted on the production PC, it cannot be decrypted on any other PC. Normally this would be fine, but is there a way to be able to encrypt and decrypt a password from either the production or development PC?

The production PC is a W2K advance server and the development PC is an XP Pro.

Is there a setting to adjust to make the encryption algorithm the same?
