It is one of those satifying films to see.

One of the interesting things about the Royals is their last name. They assumed "Windsor" during WW2, but legally that don't have last names. What their name was previously is up for much speculation.

>PBS has shown the entire history of the royal family so many times that anyone whose seen PBS probably knows more about the royals than their own relatives. Also, there have been numerous tv movies about Princess Diana's life. Way back when even the wedding was aired here. Personally, I haven't seen The Queen yet though.

>>We rarely get to see movies these days... but luckily caught this excellent film.

>>It is set in the days around the death of Princess Diana. We learn how the Queen, Prince Charles and the freshly elected Tony Blair deal with the national state of mourning. Great acting and story, both which are difficult when referencing real events and live historical figures. Both Helen Mirren (Queen Elizabeth) and Micheal Sheen (Tony Blair) became their characters for me by the end of the film.

>>Any Americans, or non commonwealth people see the film? I'd be interested if you knew who all the members of the Royal family were?
