>>Speaking of my wife (I dear!), She amazes me. Last night, a preview for a movie came on. She says to me "I have already seen that movie.", then the preview ended with "Coming to a theater on Jan 23." I looked at her and said "Wow. I wish I could see movies before they came out like you."

>You can't completely blame her. Doesn't it seem like there are few original movies, mostly just variations on movies that did well before? I was looking at the movie reviews this morning and one of those about the new flick with Hilary Swank basically said, "Does every movie about a teacher have to be exactly the same movie?"
So right. Few weeks ago I watched "School of rock", and it was a regular mix of "To Sir, with love", few early Soviet pedagogy poems, "The young ones" (or whatever was the name - it's been so long ago, with Cliff Richard or Shadows, something like that) and, ah, yes, "Dead poets society" and maybe bits of "Mr Chips". It had just a couple of places where they surprised me with the plot... mostly when I see rock'n'roll as part of the curriculum. I wish I saw what sort of multiple choice popup quiz would they invent :).
