I'm one of those persons. Before I became a programmer, I was a geologist for 16 years. The geologic record is unequivocal. In terms of recent history, we are seeing global warming. But in terms of geological history the recent rise in temperature is only 'noise' look at the graph about half way down the page here:
http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/Study//Paleoclimatology_IceCores/I doubt that human activity started the rise in temperature about 17,000 years ago.
The illustration here:
http://www.ngdc.noaa.gov/paleo/ctl/cliscibeyond.htmlshows that we are at historically (in geologic time) low sea levels.
>I know there's at least one person out here who doesn't think that global warming is happening (or being caused by humans) cause he/she had a post saying so before.
>I'm still confused as to how anyone can think there is no such thing, but anyway it's been known for a while that politics are driving the science instead of the science driving the politics. Kinda a dangerous thing if you ask me....
