Moises, the correct solution is to have a series of backups so that one could go back several backup points. The program could backup to a folder named according to date and time. Then allow for n such folders, as many as is necessary.
You could also look at FoxFix from XiTech, StoneField DBT, and other similar tools for checking the file integrity.
