Encryption Question
I've never had an occasion to work with encrypted data so these questions may see dumb.
I'm working with an old MS SQL 6.5 database that uses some sort of encryption scheme to store passwords. The passwords are automatically encrypted when added through the interface screen. Security on this system is of a very low concern, as the passwords are always the same as the user logon ID.
I want to added a large groups of users through code and by-pass the interface. I've don't some experimenting and everything is working fine except that I don't know how to encrypt the password (logon ID).
My question is this: Is there a way to develop an encryption program from the examples of data. Listed below are some examples of the data.
Thanks in advacne for any tips,
Robert Wright
