Hi, folks, Swami Jr is back...he's been busy in the treadmill, trying to lose the excess holiday cheer that he accumulated during the holidays. Swami went from a trim 160 on 11/20 to a not-so-trim 172 on New Year's Day...OUCH.

But Swami Jr isn't the only one who has gained some weight - looks like the entire Indy Colt defensive team has gained all the weight that the spokespeople from NutriSystem seemed to have lost. And that's the theme of the early game on Saturday, when the 9-7 Chiefs travel to the big HorseShoe to face the 12-4 Colts. Swami Jr is predicting an unexpected blow-out...in favor of his beloved KC Chiefs. KC will do everything right, and this game will be over by halftime. Go with KC.

In the late game tonight, the 9-7 Cowboys travel to Seattle to face the 9-7 Seahawks. Everyone believes the Cowboys are fading, and are giving this one to Seattle. Not so fast...Dallas has been playing poorly at home, but much better on the road. Seattle hasn't had an impressive win against a decent team since.....hmmm....have they at all??? Go with the Cowboys.

Tomorrow, in the early game, the 10-6 Jets travel to New England to face the 12-4 Patriots. This time, the two coaches will exchange a longer handshake after the game....because Mr. Bill B. will get a win to his liking. Everyone believes this will be a close game - Swami Jr. isn't convinced. Jets got into the playoffs with a fairly easy schedule, and they'll be one-and-done after playing a Patriot team that desperately wants to get back to the dance. Go with the Pats.

And finally, in the late game, the 8-8 G-Men head down the PA turnpike to face the 10-6 Eagles. Swami Jr has already picked one major upset [KC], and really wants to pick one here. Not because I don't believe in Philly, but because the Giants have more personalities than I have jazz CDs. I'm going with Philly, but don't be at all surprised if the Giants are able to stop Philly's run game and force Garcia to throw often. This one could go into OT...and while I won't be surprised if the Giants pull an upset....go [gasp] with the Eagles.

So there you have it....KC, Dallas, Pats, and Eagles....all road teams today, all home teams tomorrow.

Until next week, Swami Jr signing off..
