Kjetil Andre Aamodt, the most successful men's skier in Olympic history, announced his retirement on Saturday. Aamodt won 20 Olympic and world championship medals, including four Olympic golds, the most of any male skier.
In 1992, at the age of 21, he won his first olympic gold medal, as the youngest ever gold winner in alpine skiing. In 2006, when he was 35, he was the oldest alpine skier to win a olympic gold medal.
