I don't have such a CD. Only Windows install CDs.

I did re-arrange the boot drive sequence, putting the CD first. Still no joy.

The motherboard ASUS A8V Deluxe seems not to have integrated graphics.

The RAID is hardware and bootup reports it to be operational.

I guess the anti-virus could be implicated, though there was no indication of a virus report over many many days now.

Off to the shop tomorrow.
