You can't delete solutions as a whole. Everything is file based, so while you can remove them from the Solution Explorer by removing each project that's not going to delete the actual files (although you can delete individual files IN a project).

The easiest way to delete is by deleting the directories where everything's stored. If you're just starting out most likely you only have a single project so that should be easy <s>...
