But less "big iron capable".
There is comparedly lots of money sitting in "bigger iron" budgets from insurances to banks - at least here in europe. And they are all arguing java - there they can survive.
And yes - much of the big iron tasks could be handled by heavy X86-64 machines if programmed with a brains more than half working.
But this is technical, not political.
Guess who still has the budget <g>.
