There are add-ons to outlook that can do that kind of thing for you.
It comes as sort of outlook rules extension. I used to have it
saving particular attachments to particular folder, then triger VFP exe which reads files, appends records to some files etc etc...
Don't remember name anymore but you can google it out.
It costed somewhere arround 20$ for two types of rule extenders.
