There was a 45 many many moons ago by the brother and sister act, "Nino Tempo and April Stevens" singing "Deep Purple", and it was a smash hit. I have a copy, and the song on the 'B' side is "I've Been Carrying A Torch For You So Long That I Burned A Great Big Hole In My Heart".
