Have you tried the book .NET for Visual FoxPro Developers by Kevin McNeish? He is the creator of the Mere Mortals Framework for .NET and the Mere Mortals Framework for FoxPro. I have found it very helpful to look through there when I'm having trouble where to even start looking for how to do something in C#. It's nice to have a reference by someone familiar with both programs. The book offers a basic introduction to .NET, offering comparisons with FoxPro commands and techniques.
