Ian's idea worked well..with Barbara's fine-tuning too.
But another problem crops up, in that I have to define all the columns and their headings etc. As I had mentioned, I am using this for Help at run-time where I may attach any cursor depending on the current context/user's entry. So, it is going to add to the coding complexity if I have to also display the headings etc. picked up from the cursor. I was looking for something which Farpoint's Spread provides easily. Don't know why VFP can't trap DblClick at row/col level in a grid.
