Thanks for the data point. I never use the command. It's quite possible that there is a bug or two in that part of VFP.

>I think that there is a problem inherent with RESTORE FROM MEMO. I ran into this a few months ago when running a RESTORE FROM MEMO inside of a tight loop. THe error would occur sometimes on the 2nd record, sometimes on the 302nd record with no noticeable patterns. I finally gave up and rethunk the design.
