I managed to link, without any problems, to PDF documents, word documents, and others. When trying to link to a .PDX file (Adobe index), the browser only shows me a text representation of the file. Double-clicking on the same file in Windows Explorer opens it correctly.

Any ideas? Preferably, I do not want to change browser settings, since this is for a CD / DVD, for widespread distribution.

If possible, I would prefer a solution that works in several operating systems, but a Windows-only solution would also be acceptable, since that is the likely target audience.

TIA,

Hilmar.
