>>>My worst problem, in fact the worst thing that's ever happened to me, was a trapped nerve in my neck that I had a year ago (still had it at this date).

>First I tried an osteopatho was getting me better with manip. and massage, then he screwed it all up with excessive manip and exacerbated the condition. Then I went for 10 visits (so still up to 4 weeks) to a physiotherapist, who gently "gapped" my neck vertebrae. But the main problem was the inflamation of the surrounding tissue, and only time could cure that. I had to have 2 weeks off cos driving was purgatory and that, coupled with computer work, are the worst things for the condition.
For me a water bed did wonder for my shoulder problems - but not everbody feels comfortable in one. Suggest you treat yourself to a weekend in some hotel which offers room with water beds and enjoy 2 days in the sauna/pool/gym and at the btreakfast table while trying out if it helps your back.
