>>>I'll tell you what's obscene, televising the National Spelling Bee on ESPN. Those kids work hard and all, but since when did the spelling bee become a sport?

>>Sport (to me) implies some physical effort. You may even sweat and become red faced. Golf doesn't seem to fill either of those. I've always said if anyone ever sees me golfing they are welcome to shoot me as I've obviously taken leave of my senses.

"A bad day of golf is better then a great day of work."
- Lee Trevino
Of course how would he know? He's never worked a day in his life, he just plays golf.

Here's atrue story. Lee Trevino was working in his front yard. Another lady drives by and asked him how much he charges to work on her yard. He answered "the lady lets me sleep with her."

Golf courses are some of the most well keep places on earth. It's like walking through a garden. You see lots of wild life on them. I've seen foxes, bob cats, crougers and numerous deers along with your common rodants like skunks, ground squrrals, raccoons etc.... It's beautiful.
The American Republic will endure, until politicians realize they can bribe the people with their own money.
- Alexis de Tocqueville

No man’s life, liberty, or property is safe while the legislature is in session.
– Mark Twain (1866)
