Wimps! Do what I did - a fusion of L3,L4 and L5. Piece of cake, just took about six months to get back to abnormal. It only cost the insurance company a couple of hundred thousand, and I can now walk again, as long as I don't go into a metal detector. I have titanium rods screwed into my back that light up the metal detectors, but before I couldn't stand for more than about 10 minutes without bending down and trying to get my leg to come back to life!
