I see it as they'll be forgotten entities in very short order.
But there is one area that possibly could cause them big trouble throughout life - a record will likely be kept forever about their arrest, charges, etc. Possibly also, because it involves sexual deviance, there may be other lists that they are on and may stay on for a very long time.

I can see a suit, but mainly to "teach the system a lesson". ANd give them the funds they'll need to ferret out what records/lists they are on and get themselves off them.
