You know, I never made it to a Devcon or VFP conference. I was booked to attend more than once, but something always, always intervened. I wish I could have seen and heard him in action.

My motto for 2007 is "laugh while you may" (bet you can't find the origin if that online!) It's a good motto, as long as you aren't laughing at somebody else ;-) because then its meaning becomes quite different. ;-)

Drew was truly one-of-a-kind. This may sound like a leap - in my teens and early 20's, I studied piano and my hero was Franz Liszt. Liszt was wildly flamboyant, a real performer, and [obviously] high skilled. While Drew wasn't quite as flamboyant, I admired Drew in the same way.

I'm turning 42 in 3 weeks - yes, some people will smack me for saying this, but I'm also trying to find humor wherever I can. And by the way, Drew usually had his audience laughing hysterically with his jokes and wit.
