Let me know if you find the answer to this. I did some reading and didn't find a difnative answer, but, I am going to make an educated guess that the anser is NO.

I believe the reference to the object is contained in the 'process'. So, if you are passing a 'reference' to an out-of-process server, then in that process the referenced object does not exist.

If you went to DevCon98 check out Alan Grivers COM-03 paper, it talks about communication between COM objects.
