I think so at least people should know if there is a death sentence or not. I know there isn't death sentence in Turkey and I know there is death sentence in Taiwan. But probably you won't know in that place if there is death sentence when you go on vacation next summer... :)
I think so that's a serious issue. People could say "I didn't know there is a death sentence if I would kill a man" .
You know, governments claims about "death sentence" supports dissuade to crimes. If person don't know there is a death sentence how can that dissuasive? In that case I think so death sentence only can be about revenge.
