>Actually, occupation isn't the reason this Sheriff committed suicide, and I doubt it had anything to do with Drew (if he actually committed suicide). The similarity was the fact that both were humans, both had apparently had bouts of depression, and both are now gone. Your investigative skills are lacking if you think occupation is causative of suicide. Sure more cops committ suicide than programmers, but that doesn't mean occupation is the cause. Lifestyle would probably be more predictive than occupation.

Hey John,

I am sure you know more about the phenomena than most of us. And you know a lot more about politics and power than most of us. But a well schooled - well intended explanation - or set of explanantions - in this case - does not not make it anymore undertandable - or the coroners report anymore acceptable. It soesn't. You you might even agree (but keep silent to placate the brain police trolls) with many of us that the reported finding was awfully suspect and convienent.

A gun to the head - probably suicide. Even a book full of motivational contructs would never allow me to take the coroners finding at face value.

You're a politician - or at least you work under a political umbrella - you are trained and experienced in human tragedy - but you "do" know what goes on in those smoked filled rooms - power - money - vanity. The coroner's finding washed a load of liabilites down the drain - it's too convienient - why - how - did it ever get to the point of a hearing - people die from falls all the time. Why did this one take year to come up with such a convienent ruling. It just don't make sense.

No witness - no note - a dead father and son - a feet first landing (so what!) heresay and zero pay!

Maybe you should have been the investigator - you're a good soul - and - you're pretty bright for a cop!:-)

You still have that web site that you publish your project descrptions and white papers on? If so - leave alink!
Imagination is more important than knowledge
