all of what Jim said are good ideas, but even if you do not believe in global warming there are many other reasons to change our habits. As our bulbs go we replace them with cfl, did one last night, as they will save money in the long term. when on the motorway i drive at 100 rather then 120 as it is far more economical, save me about 20% on petrol and only takes an extra 2-3 minutes a day. green bin is always full when its collection time and bottles are recycled, this is all free as we only pay for rubbish that we throw out, saving money. Small changes in several aspects of our lives individually do not make a massive difference but combined over a year we save at least e600, plus we have a cleaner conscience:)
