#2 is an interesting question. It's good to know what commands to avoid. I don't have any of these in any of my apps and I don't think I'm using in bad, inefficient, or otherwise undesired commands, but it's still an interesting question. Sometimes I find out about a command or an option of a command I didn't know about by reading posts here and elsewhere. I miss the days of the printed manuals. I used to sit down and do some page turning at lunch or whenever in order to make sure I knew about what was available. These days it seems harder to keep up with every option and nuance of the language.
