Agreed. There are a handful of products I can't imagine doing software development without and VSS is one of them. I have talked to some folks who prefer other products like ClearCase but the differences (so to speak) seem so esoteric that I don't feel I need them. VSS has done everything I have ever needed it to.

Well, one complaint. It knows squat about SCX and FRX formats. (Gosh, if only VFP and VSS were made by the same company <g>). VFP's Code References tool runs rings around it in that regard -- and of course doesn't do the core version archiving functions. All VSS can tell you about SCX and FRX versions is whether the "binary files" match or differ.
