>Yeah, its worth watching it. She was gone :)

She guested a few times, btw, alongside Simon Callow, on the last series of X Factor over here. (X Factor is the next evolutionay step after our original "Pop Idol" which you made into AmIdol.

>I went to Romania this winter in a short vacation and, while watching TV, i've noticed that all the reality tv shows that are in US have been adapted for romanian market. They got the idol, the who wants to be a millionaire, super nanny, wife swaps , u name it its there. It kinda pisses me off because they dont show the traditional stuff anymore.Globalization eh...

Tell me about it!

Gulp! They're all British innovations. Seems we're becoming the Reality TV capital of the world.

And the "celebrity" versions: C. Big Brother, C. Strictly Come Dancing, C. singing shows, C horse-riding, C ice skating, C farmhouse, et al, et al. These "celebs" are mainly Z list has-beens anyway, most famous for being/having been famous. One of the "celebs" in this latest Big Bro is one only cos she was in Big Bro a few years ago. She's a total air-head and has started off an international incident with India for being racist with this Indian Bollywood actress. I swear, 3 major news digest/talk shows last night werre DEVOTED to what's happening in BB. Talk about dumning down TV - now the news has stooped to be part of it.

When the reality TV shows aren't on we then go on to phone-in quizzes. We were all warned about the degradation of TV some 10-15 years ago. I always said that rather than get more satellite channels I'd just stop watching TV. It's come on quite insideously but is gathering pace now. To a geat extent that's true now - I'm weaning myself off TV.
- Whoever said that women are the weaker sex never tried to wrest the bedclothes off one in the middle of the night
- Worry is the interest you pay, in advance, for a loan that you may never need to take out.
