Mark,
Thank you very much for the help. That saved me lots of time looking for it. I hadn't even gotten that far yet, but I'm now looking forward to it. My problem was a little more basic. I was having problems with the autogenerate feature on the toc. When I turn on the autogenerate toc function, I get the following message (the first is completely bogus, there's at least 50 megs):

toc.hhc
HHC6000: Error:
An error occurred attempting to create an internal file. Make certain there is enough disk space on the drive where you are compiling your file.
HHC5007: Error:
Fatal Navigational Compilation Error. This is likely the result of an invalid .HHC file.

When I completely take the toc out of the project, it compiles ok. Now this may be because I haven't gotten the hang of how to properly setup the html files. I had someone else at the office compile a set of web pages into it and it seemed to work fine with the autogenerate, although it did create garbage letters at the end of some of the lines in the toc. I wish it came with a simple sample to experiment with. Here is a part of test file I was experimenting with (I had to cut out all the rest to get it to post to the list):

"

Test

This is a test.

TEST2

"
"

This is a test 2.

"

I thought the autogenerate pulled the h1,h2 stuff to create the file. If you have any ideas or recommendations, I am all ears! Thanks!

As you can see it's pretty basic.
