My daughter tried out here in Memphis a few years ago and made the top ten. She then had to go to Atlanta for more trials. Fortunately, she didn't make the final cut. I think the fact that she doesn't sing the types of songs they were looking for may have hurt her too. She's a great singer, but not pop stuff. The people who are on there with no talent are nothing but plants. They would never make it through the extremely tough competition.

I haven't watched it since my man Rubin won the thing.
