OK. Will you settle for this? -- Microsoft prohibits any browser other than IE from updating Visual Studio. To me you are making a distinction without a difference.

This really isn't worth pursuing, is it? I know you have a pro-Microsoft tilt, but why shouldn't you? Microsoft and its products have been good to you. Me, too. I just don't like it when they abuse their monopoly power. This is why I prefer to use competing products, other things being more or less equal.
