I have seldom been so happy to be so wrong. The Bears shut up a lot of their critics and so did the Colts. I feel particularly happy for Peyton Manning, who has been unfairly dogged with the "can't win the big ones" label. Down 18 to the team that has won 3 of the past 5 Super Bowls, come back and win with a banged-up thumb, well, you earn some respect.

Let's hope the "first two African-American head coaches to lead their teams to the Super Bowl" angle expires quickly. Not that it isn't a milestone, because it is, but the media sometimes grab an angle and run with it. Why can't we just admire them as two great coaches who have taken teams who weren't expected to be there to the Super Bowl?
