I think we ALL do over here. When I visit the States or Canada I come back saying I've eaten like a pig, and usually put a few pounds on.

>When we visited London two years ago, I ate much less than I do in States :)

>>Ceratinly not in the UK - eating out is more expensive. But, joking aside, we don't get the NHS for free - we pay for it out of a part of our taxation, call National Insurance. These contibs go towards: NHS, state pension and unemployment benefits.

>>>There is no free lunch in the United States.

>>>>>>
>>>>>>Of course it's a system, but it's a sink and has no output. It takes ill people as input and converts them into money for the doctors. Sometimes there's a bi-product - the odd well person gets output.

>>>>Tell me. DO you have to pay for dentistry for your kids? Once upon a time we didn't pay at all, then dentists got greedy; they were only able to change their Porsches once a year, so they pulled out of the NHS. Some stayed, but you still have to pay (but not as much as private). But kids are free up to, well 16 or 18 - not sure.
- Whoever said that women are the weaker sex never tried to wrest the bedclothes off one in the middle of the night
- Worry is the interest you pay, in advance, for a loan that you may never need to take out.
