Writing xml via string is really poor technology... But that the way I do it currently.
I'd be glad to hear about miracle solutions. Currently i'm using the MS parser to read/parse the stuff into VFP structures (cursors, objects and arrays).
The only issue is not in outputing new XML. Which is really simple, but the case when you need to edit "in-place" existing data xml structures (with primary keys and integrity constrains). Possibly should we use the XML parser for this. But then the simple problem becomes a complex one and XML does not help at all. Quite the contrary!
My 2 cents
