Hi,
I am working on a VFP 5.x application that will be used 10 users. So far Iam running it in single user mode(ie. each .exe has its own database). But Iam thinking of moving it to multi user soon.
Can you help me what are the typical problems involved in this transision. I know this is too generic to answer.
These are the concrete issues I hope for an answer:
1) For multi user, If I keep the .dbc file on a network drive, How to make the .exe on a user machine find the .DBC file?
What environment settings I have to make on user machine as part of setup?
2) Is there any template like code for handling multi user scenarios? Like say, user1 loaded a record and viewing it, meanwhile user2 changed the same record and committed the changes. Now I want to ask the user1 whether he wants to load the other's changes/override whatever in the database? Is there any sample code for doing this kind of stuff?

I appreciate your help.

Thanks
Puri
