i tried USE in form load in shared mode

and then i later also tried putting them in the data environment.

in both cases i had the same problem.

However i was able to solve the problem in a way which i want to avoid

I did scan endscan and replaced a dummy field with a blank.

this i did just before executing the Select statement.

this seems to have solved the problem as far as the user is concerned but this approach seems to be a temporary solution to me at the best.
