I did not mean any disrespect to you at all. You answered my question. If your dad was a doctor, by definition he knows more about it than I do.
Maybe I do have a cliched view of doctors. I have at times encouraged my younger daughter, who shows a lot of potential, to pursue that line of work. I think it's the best thing she could possibly do. I have not pressured her, nor will I. I already know she will be good at whatever she chooses, which is a nice feeling for a parent. (And then there's her sister....)
