In the case where I needed ReFox, the user had a copy of the EXE, of course, but no recent copy of the source. They had trouble getting it from the developer's widow.
I have not lost any source, either (you can rest assured my hand is knocking on my head right now) and I also have code still sitting around from FPD and FPW projects, but manure happens and, worst case scenario, you might find yourself needing ReFox. As I mentioned, in 18 years of Fox-based work, I've only needed it once. I was glad to have it that one time, however.
>The part I don't get is how the EXE can be intact and the source code isn't. That can't be explained by the common causes of data loss -- hard drive failure, theft of machine, etc.

>In answer to your question, no, I never have lost any source code I needed. That would be highly careless and unprofessional IMO. I've got Zip disks and CDs around here (the key ones offsite as well) with systems I wrote 15 years ago.
