http://youtube.com/watch?v=G45u17vaUCM&mode=related&search=You're probably right. But he should have retired years ago. I saw a recent gig (possibly his last) on the telly last week. He was a shadow of his former sense, just looking like a bewildered old man at times, in a silly blue suit, a female lead backing singer taking over parts that were quintissentially his in seminal pieces, while he just stood there as if he'd lost his voice, or forgotten the words, or was too knackered, not even grooving along. He looked like he'd lost the plot.
It was a great shame to see him like that, not fast shuffling or doing the splits. He couldn't hit the high notes and yowls anymore and I wondered what was the point, and why was everyone rapturously applauding him.
